Day 28- A Picture a Day in May- The weather today

It is a beautiful Memorial Day today.  Blue skies with a few clouds and the temperature is a wonderful 70 degrees.  Wish I was doing something more fun than laundry and weeding.

Day 27- A Picture a Day in May- Something Sweet

Day 26- A Picture a Day in May- 12 o'clock

Yesterday's picture was 12 o'clock.  I forgot to take a picture at noon when I think I was just finishing up doing my mom's hair.  So I thought I would just take a picture at midnight.  A picture of what?  It's dark.  There isn't anything to take a picture of.  So I found a picture to post of what I was doing.  I had just finished watching one of my favorite shows, Doctor Who.  If you haven't ever watched it, you should.  Saturday nights on channel 7 at 11 p.m.  One of the best shows ever!

Day 25- A Picture a Day in May- Unusual

I forgot to do a picture yesterday, but after I saw my 15-year old's hair he had done today, I was glad I forgot.  He got the tips highlighted blond.  Looks cool and unusual at the same time.

Day 24- A Picture a Day in May- Something new

I bought myself a new 'toy' to use while running.  This arm band will make it a lot easier to run and keep track of my time and mileage.   It will keep my hands free and it won't matter if I have pockets in my outfit or not.  Can't wait to try it out!

Day 23- A Picture a Day in May- Technology

This is the "technology" shelf that my husband built under our stairs.  It is nice to have all this stuff out of the way but still accessable for my husband, the network administrator.

Day 22- A Picture a Day in May- Pink

Since I'm the only girl in my house, these are some of the only pink things I have.  Do you think 10 bottles of pink nail polish are enough?

Day 21- A Picture a Day in May- Where you stand

This is a picture of the squishy mat that I stand on when I make something yummy like I did today.  Banana Bread!  Can't you just smell it?

Day 20- A Picture a Day in May- Something you can't llive without

I thought about taking a picture of a can of Diet Dr. Pepper or Ritter Sport Chocolate, but I decided these were things I could live without.  This man, I could not!  He spoils me rotten and makes me feel loved no matter what.  I am very lucky!

Day 19- A Picture a Day in May- A favorite place

This is a picture inside the spa at The M Hotel Resort and Casino in Henderson (Las Vegas), NV.  Gary and I stayed here the last time we went to Las Vegas and instantly fell in love with this hotel.  It is glorious!  Next time we go to Las Vegas, we are staying here!

Some of the "sets" I've made. Usually, I don't make a necklace and bracelet together, but sometimes they match up nicely.

My attempt at 'Pandora' bracelets' and 3 of my newest necklaces.  Turquoise and gray, yellow with silver, and purple.

Can you think of a better snack than homemade chocolate chip cookies and a glass of ice cold milk?  Me either!

Day 16- A Picture a Day in May- What you're reading.

Right now I am reading Banana Split by Josi Kilpack.  I received this for Mother's Day.  This is the 7th book in this series about a woman who keeps getting involved in murder mysteries, either by choice or by accident.  The books contain recipes that go along with the story.  I haven't made any of the recipes yet, but there are some pretty tasty-sounding recipes in these books.  The other books in the series are: Lemon Tart, English Trifle, Devil's Food Cake, Key Lime Pie, Blackberry Crumble, and Pumpkin Roll.  The name of each book is also one of the recipes included in the book.

I love these books.  They are fun to read and keep you very interested.

Day 15- A Picture a Day in May- Love

This picture is a couple of years old, but I couldn't think of a better representation of love than the temple.  My husband gave me this picture for Christmas a couple of years ago and it hangs over my mantle with my kids pictures around it. 

Day 13 and 14- A Picture a Day in May- Mum and Grass

Two of the best moms I know, Lynsay Carter and Janet Jordan, with me and Janet's daughter, Mabby, and Lynsay's niece, Samantha being 'witchy' around Halloween.

Yes, my grass needs to be mowed.  Poor ants must be having a time of it out there!

Day 11 and Day 12- A Picture a Day in May- Kitchen and Something that makes you happy.  I forgot to post the pictures on Friday and Saturday so here they are.

Day 11 was kitchen.  This is my favorite thing in my kitchen, my mixer.  One of the best things I ever purchased.  Mixes cakes so well, and cookies are a breeze.  Love my mixer!

Day 12 was something that makes you happy.  My husband got these for me, but my husband buying me treats isn't what makes me happy.  Ritter Sport chocolate and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Clif bars make me happy.  Really happy!

Day 10- A Picture a Day in May- A Favorite Word

One of my favorite words is awesome.  Chalk it up to being a product of the 80s, I'm not sure, but I use it all the time.  And my 4 boys are the most awesome of all!

Day 9- Picture a Day in May- Something you do everyday.

I posted a picture of my bed, because I make my bed everyday.  I'm kind of obsessed about it.  It has to be made first thing and then I think I at least accomplished something for the day.

Day 8 Picture a Day in May- A scent you adore

There are so many things that smell great to me, but I think one of my all-time favorites has to be vanilla.  I love anything vanilla scented.  It just smells so homey and yummy. 

Day 7 of Picture a Day in May

A picture of someone who inspires you.  My kids inspire me everyday.  Some days it's in good ways like they inspire me to be more creative and have fun.  Other days, they inspire me to try to be more kind, have more patience, or not yell so much.

Day 6 Picture a Day in May = YOU

As I said in a prior post, I like to run.  These are my numbers from some of the 5K races I've run.  I ran 6 race last year and I've run in 2 races this year so far with at least 3 more planned,oe of which will be a 10K race on the 24th of July.  Did I mention I like to run?

I was having problems getting my computer to cooperate last night so here is Picture 5 for Picture a Day in May from yesterday.  The theme was 'bird'.

I had a really hard time getting a picture of a bird and so I thought this was the next best thing.

Day 4 of A Picture a Day for May.  Today's subject was 'fun'.

Sorry it's another pair of shoes, but I went running this morning and I think running is FUN!

Day 3 of my picture a day posts was "something you wore today".  It was nice enough today that I could wear my favorite kind of shoes... flip flops!  So here are the one's I wore today.

These are so old!  I really need some new ones.

I've taken the pictures for the first two days and here they are:

Day 1 was peace.  I can't think of anything quite as peaceful as sitting on my front porch either watching my kids play in the front yard or just reading a book.

Day 2 was skyline.  This is a picture of the "skyline" of my house.  Beautiful.
